Congratulations to UCSF postdoc alumnus Antiño Allen, PhD, who was recently named a 2016 Emerging Scholar by Diverse: Issues in Higher Education magazine. Allen is one of twelve minority scholars age 40 or under recognized in the January 28, 2016 issue for their excellence in research, teaching, and mentoring, and their commitment to service. Highlighted in particular is Antiño's perseverance in pursuing his PhD work at night while serving two tours of duty as a company commander in the U.S.
