UC San Francisco stands with Orlando and the loved ones of those impacted by the horrific attack on June 12 and reaffirms our commitment to nurturing a campus culture that is welcoming and supportive of our LGBT students, staff, and faculty.
The Graduate Division would like to encourage our friends and colleagues to show personal support and solidarity with our LGBT students and colleagues by attending the following events, open to the entire campus community.
UCSF Stands with Orlando Events and Activities:
- Student Organized Healing Space | Tuesday, June 14 | 6:30pm | N517 | Healing space organized by students.
- LGBT End of the Year Celebration | Thursday, June 16 | 5:30pm | Cardiovascular Building | Part of the program will be dedicated to Orlando victims.
- UCSF LGBT Pride Parade Contingent | Sunday, June 26 | 10:30 am | Market and Beale Streets | Join the UCSF LGBT Pride Parade Contingent as we celebrate love, diversity, and unity.
This is an especially important time to reach out to our families, friends and colleagues to comfort them and make sure they are getting the help they need. Counseling for students is available through Student Health and Counseling Services. Counseling for faculty and staff – including postdocs – is available from the Faculty and Staff Assistance program.
