California State University Stanislaus is hosting a 2-day professional development training for educators, full of talks, workshops, and discussions to support educators in confronting anti-Black racism on college campuses. There will be a focus on undergraduates, but the schedule of speakers indicate that there are many topics relevant for the support of all Black students and faculty, and in understanding anti-Black racism in academia in general.
The Graduate Division Dean's office is encouraging faculty and graduate program administrators to attend, as training to address anti-Black racism is crucial for the UCSF community. This training may be especially useful to scholars that want to be educators.
