This session is for all members of the UCSF community dealing with immigration-related employment of international personnel. While there are unquestionably substantial contractions in U.S. immigration and policy, there have also been some new liberalizations related to international healthcare workers coming out of the Administration, federal agencies, and the Congress. The attorneys will provide a general overview of these new immigration changes – both good and bad – and respond to questions pertaining to new developments related to institutional compliance responsibilities as well as maintaining immigration status at UCSF and/or attaining permanent residence.
