UCSF COVID-19 Relief Program

Chaplain Joe Frias, left, blessed the hands of Rosa Rist, LVN in Executive Health, in appreciation for the hard work she does providing care for patients, the Hand Blessing event was part of the UCSF Health Appreciation Week, at the ground floor Meditation Room at the Mission Bay Hospital.The UCSF COVID-19 Relief Program provides up to $1,000 in aid to assist those who have experienced unexpected financial hardship resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic.

To qualify for the UCSF COVID-19 Relief Program, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Be a UCSF employee whose total base salary or stipend is less than $75,000 annually
  • Employees are staff, postdocs, residents, fellows, faculty and non-faculty academics
  • Have completed at least 6 months of continuous service at 50% time or greater
  • Be able to demonstrate that COVID-19 created unforeseen financial hardship

UCSF employees with temporary layoff status or on approved leave are eligible if they meet the above criteria.

The program has been established with philanthropic funding that is specifically intended to support UCSF’s response to the pandemic.
